No login needed. Everything on this page works without registering or signing in. You only need the official portal open in your browser.

What you can do in the Citizen Window

The Citizen Window has six main tools. Each one works without a login, though some report pages show a captcha before displaying results.

Search School

Find a government school by district, block, school name, or school code. The search returns the school's UDISE code, address, management type (government, aided, or local body), and contact details if available. You can filter results by district and block to narrow down a long list.

School Reports

Official report formats that show school-level data such as enrolment totals, infrastructure details, and student-teacher ratios. These reports pull from the same database that schools update during annual surveys, so the numbers reflect the most recent school year available.

Student Reports

Public-level student statistics. You can view enrolment broken down by class group, gender, and category (SC, ST, OBC, General). Individual student records show the student's NIC ID, name, parent or guardian name, and class. Results from board exams are also available here for Class 5 and Class 8.

Staff Reports

Staff-related report views that cover teachers and non-teaching staff. You can see the staff member's NIC-SD ID, name, designation, subject taught (for teachers), and posting school. The reports help you check how many teachers a school has and what subjects they cover.

Class 5th & 8th Results

Result pages linked from the portal for Rajasthan board exams. On result days, traffic spikes can slow the official site, so mirror links on this guide help you reach the results page faster.

Question Banks & e-Content

NAS (National Achievement Survey) and board exam question banks, plus e-learning modules. These are teaching and study resources that the portal makes available to schools and the public.

How to open the Citizen Window

  1. Visit the official portal

Open rajshaladarpan.rajasthan.gov.in in any browser. The site works on desktop and mobile, though a desktop screen makes the report tables easier to read.

  2. Find the Citizen Window link

Look for a "Citizen Window" section in the portal's main menu or sidebar. It lists School Search, School Reports, Student Reports, and Staff Reports as separate options. The exact placement can change when the portal updates its layout, so scroll through the menu if you do not see it right away.

  3. Choose the tool you need

Select the report or search type you want. Each tool asks for a few filters: district and block are the most common, and some tools also ask for school code, class, or category. A captcha appears before results load. Type the characters you see and click Search.

  4. View or download

Results appear on screen as a table or list. Many report formats include a download option so you can save them as a file. If a report is long, the portal may split it across pages, so check for pagination links at the bottom of the table.

Tips for effective searching

  • Bookmark the Citizen Window if you are a parent or student. It is the fastest way to reach public school data without logging in.
  • Start with the district filter, then narrow to block. Searching without a district returns a large list that is harder to browse.
  • Use the school code if you have it. It is the most precise way to find a specific school, especially when multiple schools share similar names.
  • If the captcha characters are hard to read, most portals let you click or tap the captcha image to load a new one.
  • Some report pages need you to select a report type before entering filters. Check the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
  • Data on the portal updates as schools submit their annual records. The most recent data usually covers the last completed school year.
  • If a report page does not load, try again during off-peak hours. The portal is busiest during result declaration days and admission season.
  • For student or staff records, you need at least a name and school to search. Partial names work, but a more specific match returns fewer, more relevant results.

Real situations where the Citizen Window helps

A parent moving their child to a new school can check the new school's details before visiting. You can look up the school's address, contact information, and how many students and teachers it has. This helps you decide whether the school fits your child's needs without making a wasted trip.

A researcher studying education access in Rajasthan can pull school counts by district and block. The Citizen Window gives you the raw numbers you need to map school distribution, compare enrolment across districts, or track changes over time.

A journalist verifying a school's existence can look it up by code. Every government school in Rajasthan has a UDISE code, and the Citizen Window shows whether a school with that code exists, where it is located, and what type of management it has.

A student who lost their admission receipt can find their student details using their name and school. The record shows the student's NIC ID, parent or guardian name, and class. This can help when you need to provide your student ID for exams or transfers.

A parent checking on their child's school can use the staff reports to see how many teachers are posted there and what subjects they teach. This is useful if you want to know whether a school has enough staff for the number of students enrolled.

The Citizen Window does not show sensitive data like passwords, bank details, or salary information. It shows what the government considers public record: school locations, staff counts, student enrolment figures, and academic progress. This is by design. The portal balances transparency with privacy.

Limitations

The Citizen Window cannot update records, reset passwords, or process applications. For those tasks you need the appropriate login. It also does not show private school data. Private school records live on RajPSP.

The Citizen Window only covers government and government-aided schools in Rajasthan. Unaided private schools, central government schools (like Kendriya Vidyalayas or Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas), and schools in other states are not included.

Report data depends on what schools have submitted. If a school has not updated its records for the current year, you will see the most recent data they provided, which may be from a previous school year.

Common questions

Do I need to log in to use the Citizen Window?

No. The Citizen Window is open to everyone without login. You can search schools, view student reports, and check staff details. Some report pages show a captcha before displaying results, but that is not the same as a login.

What information can I see without login?

You can see school name, address, UDISE code, management type, enrolment totals, staff counts, student report cards (with NIC ID), and staff details (with NIC-SD ID). The data comes from what schools submit to the portal each year.

Can I see private school data?

No. The Citizen Window only covers government and government-aided schools in Rajasthan. For private school records, visit RajPSP.

Why do some report pages not load?

The portal can be slow during peak times, such as result days or admission season. Try again after a few hours. If the page still does not load, your browser may have trouble with the captcha or the portal may be updating its records.
