Shala Darpan Student Details
How to view student enrollment, personal information, and academic records on Shala Darpan.

What student details contain
Student details on Shala Darpan hold the information the system keeps for each enrolled student. This covers personal data like name and date of birth, enrollment data such as class and school, and academic records including marks and attendance. Schools use this data for results, scholarships, and internal reporting. Parents can view their child's details through Shala Samvad. School heads can add or edit details through the School Window.
Information you can see
- Personal data: Full name, date of birth, gender, father's and mother's name, home address.
- Enrollment: School name, class, section, roll number, date of admission.
- Academic: Current year marks, past year results, attendance record.
- IDs: Student NIC ID, Jan Aadhaar number if linked.
- Status: Active, transferred to another school, or passed out.
The exact fields may vary by class level and school. Primary and upper primary schools show different academic fields than senior secondary schools.
How parents can access their child's records
Parents need a Jan Aadhaar or NIC ID to log in. If your child is already enrolled on Shala Darpan, the steps below take you to the student profile.
Step by step
Log in to Shala Samvad
Go to rajshaladarpan.rajasthan.gov.in. Click Shala Samvad. Enter your NIC ID, mobile number, or Jan Aadhaar.
Select the student
If you have more than one child linked to your Jan Aadhaar, a list appears. Pick the child whose details you want to see.
View the profile
The student profile shows personal data, enrollment info, and academic records. You can scroll through the different tabs or sections to find what you need.
You can also check report cards and past results from the same area. If your child's school publishes Shala Samvad updates, those show up in the student profile as well.
Trouble logging in
If you cannot log in, check a few things first. Make sure the NIC ID or mobile number you are entering matches what the school has on file. If your Jan Aadhaar is not linked to the student record, the system will not show your child. Ask the school head to link it. If you forgot your password, use the reset option on the login page. You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.
How to view student details for school heads
School heads log in through the School Window using their staff credentials. Once inside, they can view and edit all student records for their school. This includes adding new students, updating personal details, and marking transfers when students leave.
The School Window also lets heads export student lists and generate reports for district-level submissions.
What school heads can edit
| Detail | Can school head edit? |
|---|---|
| Student name | Yes, with supporting documents |
| Date of birth | Yes, with birth certificate |
| Parent names | Yes |
| Address | Yes |
| Class and section | Yes, during promotion |
| Transfer status | Yes, when student transfers out |
Some changes, like name or date of birth edits, need proof. The school head uploads the supporting document (birth certificate, Aadhaar card) and submits a request. The system then routes it for approval. Until approval, the old data stays visible.
How to correct wrong information
If you find an error in your child's details, such as a misspelled name or wrong date of birth, here is what to do:
- Contact your child's school and tell them what is wrong.
- The school head checks the record and asks for supporting documents if needed.
- The head submits the correction through the School Window.
- The system processes the request. Some changes need district-level approval.
- Check back after a few days to confirm the update went through.
Common corrections include name spelling, parent name spelling, address updates, and class or section changes after annual promotion. For name or date of birth changes, the school must attach a copy of the birth certificate or Aadhaar card.
If the school is unresponsive, you can contact the district education office. They can follow up with the school on your behalf.
Common issues
Student name is wrong
Tell the school head. They can fix it through the School Window with supporting documents (Aadhaar card, birth certificate). If the school does not act, contact the district education office.
Student not found in the system
The student may not be enrolled on Shala Darpan yet. Ask the school to complete enrollment. This usually happens with newly admitted students whose records have not been uploaded.
Class or section looks old
The school may not have updated records after annual promotion. Ask them to update. This is common at the start of a new academic year.
Cannot view another school's student
You can only see your own school's students (as a school head) or your own children (as a parent). This is a privacy restriction built into the system.
Student transferred but old school still shows
The receiving school needs to complete the transfer on their end. If they have not, contact them and ask them to accept the transfer record.
Date of birth does not match the birth certificate
Ask the school head to update it. They will need a copy of the birth certificate or Aadhaar card as proof.
Address is outdated
The school head can update the address through the School Window. You may need to provide proof of the new address, such as a utility bill or Aadhaar card with the updated address.
Jan Aadhaar is not linked to the student
Ask the school head to link your Jan Aadhaar number to the student record. Without this link, you cannot log in through Shala Samvad to view your child's details.
Privacy considerations
Shala Darpan limits who can see student data. Parents can only view their own children's records. School heads can only access students enrolled at their school. The system does not let you search for or view students at other schools.
Student records contain personal information like names, addresses, and Aadhaar numbers. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, change your password immediately and contact the school.
Schools must follow data handling rules when managing student records. They should not share student information with third parties without proper authorization. If you have concerns about how your child's data is being used, contact the school administration or the district education office.
